Potatoes for $1, Krusteaz Cookie Mix for $0.99, plus more deals!

I’m currently challenging myself to stick with a $70 grocery budget for our family of five. This includes almost all of our breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners + most household products (toiletries, laundry soap, etc.).

I went to two Krogers on Tuesday but never had a chance to post the deals I got — because I ran out of blogging time because I spent it all on the South Africa post. And then I stopped by Kroger again today. So here are my 3 Kroger shopping trips…

Kroger Shopping Trip #1

  • Yoplait Oui petites — marked down to $1.19
  • Ground Beef – marked down to $3.79
  • Noosa yogurt — marked down to $0.79
  • Total with tax: $6.13

Kroger Shopping Trip #2

  • Milk — $2.69
  • 1 bag of plums — marked down to $0.99
  • Bag of buns — marked down to $0.99
  • 1 Naked Juice — $2.99, used $2.50/1 coupon (the person in front of me left it at the Catalina machine at the self checkout!)
  • Total with tax: $5.64

Kroger Shopping Trip #3

  • Krusteaz Cookie Mix — on sale for $0.99 when you buy 5 participating items
  • Baking cocoa — $1.99
  • Raw sugar — $2.89
  • 4 dozen eggs — marked down to $1.19 each
  • 2 packages of sausage — marked down to $1.49 each
  • 2 bags of potatoes — marked down to $1 each
  • 1 bag of buns — marked down to $0.99
  • Total with tax: $22.90
